Africa animals

  1. I think he gets better pictures when they don't know hes there like he did. He got them in their natural habitat . I think its beautiful.
  2. I like this picture the most because 1 I like giraffes, like they are my favorite animal but besides that i like the comparison between the giraffe and the tree and the sky in the background is pretty.
  3.  this could possibly be balance because you could draw a line between the tree and the giraffe and its about the same.
  4.  im not sure which camera he using but the only effect i see on it, is that its black and white.
  5. his reasoning was to get the animals in a state of being.
  6. to get the animals and how they act with other animals or by themselves.
  7. "I didn't see a single wild animal the entire four-hour drive. It's not that they've moved elsewhere. It's that they've been wiped out, turned into bushmeat"

mural project/ gb&w part 3

Mural

  1. We could do panels of photos maybe of events that are involved with Halloween, pumpkin patch, costumes, Halloween stores, and Halloween decorations.
  2. I think we should be able to use cameras if you have one just so the picture has a higher quality if we enlarge it or change it anyway.
  3. We could put the mural in the front of the school near the office.

Great black and white photographer

  1. What had caught my eye in Imogens pictures is the close ups ad the "artsy" picture of things out of the ordinary.
  2. I see a snake in what i think is some kind of white container. The picture is black and white so i don't know what type of snake it is. It has a bunch of patterns on it and is tied into a little knot.
  • I smell the out doors where the snake was found. The freshly cut grass that it slithered through. Along with the flowers growing in the grass.
  • I hear the wind blowing the trees around. the snake making his slithering noises trying to escape. i hear the clicking of the camera when the picture is taken.
  • i taste the metallic in my mouth from biting my tongue because of how close me and the snake are and trying to take a decent picture with out it being shaky.
  • i feel nervous for the closeness of the snake ad I. The picture itself makes me think of braveness and he wilderness. You have to be pretty damn brave to get close to a snake and wilderness because of all the dangerous thing that we don't know about out there.
  1. I see 3 flowers. They are tilting with the weight of the petals. the flower looks like it wont die anytime soon and the black background helps the flowers stand out.
  • I smell the light aroma from the flower. along with the slight smell of the room we are in, which was at a house party.
  • i hear the chatter at the get together. I hear people talking about the decorations, for instance the flowers.
  • i taste gum i was put in my mouth before taking the picture .
  • I feel the eyes of other people on me watching me take the photo.

      3. I think either a blog or poster would be fine.

Great black and white photographer part 2

Imogen Cunningham

1883 April 12 Portland, Oregon is when and where Imogen was born. she was in art lessons every summer thanks to her father Issac burns Cunningham. When Imogen attended the university of Washington in Seattle her chemistry professor suggested she'd need scientific background to be a photographer. after graduation Imogen had worked for Edward S. Curtis, the producer of the twenty volumes of "The North American Indian", where she had learned the techniques of platinum printing.

In the 1920's Imogen turned to family and friends nudes and studies of plants from her garden. Her floral images soon became her most praise images. Imogen was inspired by Gertrude Kasebier to become a photographer in 1901. Imogen had a child named Gryffyd, he was born on December 18, 1915. During the second pregnancy she moved to California.

In the 1920s Imogen went from plants to humans. Imogen and her husband got divorced because she got offered work in New York and her husband wanted her to wait so they could travel together but she refused. 1940s is when Imogen did street photography. Imogen died at 93 on June 24 in 1976 in San Francisco California.

Aperture, shutter, speed, and ISO

Aperture

F/2.8

F/16

  1. The eyes is what we closely relate to the aperture.
  2. The smaller the aperture, the more visible. the larger the aperture, the smaller the area is focused.
  3. The aperture impacts on the depth of field by blurring the background of the object that is sharp.

Speed shutter

High shutter speedImage result for high shutter speed

Low shutter speedImage result for low shutter speed

F. Slow shutter speed

  1. When you set it to Auto mode it turns it to shutter speed and aperture on by itself.
  2. When you set it to aperture priority you have to set the lens to aperture but the camera dose speed shutter.
  3. When you have it on manual you have to set aperture and speed shutter on your own.

Iso

  1. The advantage of a higher Iso at a sporting event is the players will be more focused and not blurry because of their motion.
  2. The advice the author gave us is to use the lowest Iso (100-200) to get a higher quality.
  3. The advice the author gave us about the higher Iso is to only use it when its dark outside.

Aperture setting: F2.8-F22

Shutter speed setting: 1 sec-1/4000 sec

Iso setting: 100-25600
